Aggarwal, Raj (1987). Systematic Strategic Planning at a State University: A Case Study of Adapting Corporate Planning Techniques, Innovative Higher Education. The adaptation of a typical corporate strategic planning process to a midwestern state university is discussed. The university found that an ongoing planning process with a yearly cycle offers several advantages not available with prior approaches, and that strategic planning is a culture that takes time before it becomes pervasive in any organization. McClure, Polly Ann; And Others (1993). Administrative Workstation Project at Indiana University, CAUSE/EFFECT. At Indiana University, budget problems and the information explosion led to a project, financed by a computer company, integrating information technology (IT) into administrative functions. The administrative workstation project increased IT knowledge and use by key administrators, resulting in greater productivity and creativity, improved attitudes toward technology, receptivity to continued investment. Among the findings are a decline in enrollment of 20-24 year olds and a growth in opportunities for the children of immigrants. Mace, John (1987). Overseas Student Fee Policy: Some Economic Considerations, Higher Education Review. Since Great Britain instituted a policy in 1979 of charging foreign students the "full cost" of their education, there has been little effort to determine what the full cost or the policy's impact is. Calculations reveal net gain to British taxpayer from having foreign students in non-advanced further education and slight loss from having them in advanced further education.
